March 2010 and beyond at Rutgers Presbyterian Church

An inquirers class will be held after Easter where Pastor Andrew will share his understanding of membership and relationship in a Presbyterian Church, and will answer questions about membership and mission at Rutgers.

Wednesday, February 24th to March 17. The Lenten lectures series on the Unknown Gospels Lectures will provide new insights into the life and times of Jesus, as revealed in these little known writings, by contemporaries of the more famous authors of the New Testament.

This Wednesday, March 10, our Lenten Lectures series continues with a light Lenten meal that will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the Lenten Lecture at 7:00 p.m. in the Daniel Russell room, on the ground floor of the Church house:

• March 10th - Infancy Gospels of James and Thomas (Everything you wanted to know about Christmas)
• March 17th - Pilate Cycle and some other later works (Political and religious spin-making observed)

Everyone is warmly welcomed to join us for these four Wednesday evenings. In celebration of the Lent season we will embark on thrilling adventure, searching for some less-known gospels and traditions about Jesus. As a foretaste you can read an article which I originally wrote for my previous church, "Unknown Words of Jesus"
